Dr. Ricks' Overachiever Recognition by G2 & PWL

Some people are all talk and others are all action and this is the major distinction between those who overachieve and those who do not. Dr. Ricks, president of SBR Workplace Leadership Service, has been recognized as an overachiever by G2 Power to the Pen. Pilot Pen recognizes those throughout the country who go above and beyond the regular duties of their job to make the community a better place for all despite personal challenges.

Dr. Ricks is one of those people and was recognized among the top 20 overachievers in the country. Dr. Ricks serves as a professor for Northern Virginia Community College, president of her own business, SBR Workplace Leadership Services, volunteers for Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, maintains her emergency medical technician licensure, volunteers as a board member for Carried to Full Term, volunteers as a board of regents member for Leadership Prince William, volunteers to serve on ministry at her local church of worship, and more.

She does all of this despite many personal challenges, the primary one being profound hearing loss. She has had multiple surgeries, including the donation of an organ to a relative. Dr. Ricks does not let any challenge hold her back from reaching her goals in life. She serves as an inspiration to many and has no plans of stopping.
