According to recent studies, suicide rates are higher than they have ever been in the United States. Specifically, for the 10-24 age group, it is the second leading cause of death. There are are no ways to 100% predict if someone is capable of attempting suicide. It is essential to educate yourself and
learn as much about suicide as possible in order to learn how to intervene and prevent the action.
Dr. Ricks will be speaking on this topic as well as the advances in technology to assist in the process of preventing suicide. The presentation will be online on Wed. March 17th from 12:00pm - 3:15pm EST. There are continuing education credits for MFTs, LPCCs, LCSWs, and psychologists.
