Session Description & Objectives

 

This session will equip attendees with the knowledge about how to recognize disorganization and determine how to re-calibrate in order to become more organized.  There will be an opportunity for reflection, discussion, practicing how to create goals as well as prioritize.  There will also be multiple tips to guide attendees in better organizing in their professional and personal lives in order to be more productive and effective in meeting and completing day-to-day tasks and goals.  The topics that will be highlighted throughout the session include:  determining goals and priorities, determining how your attitude impacts your actions, increase their motivation levels, problem solve, procrastination, distractions, multitasking, and communication with colleagues and/or household members.  There will be an interactive activity and an assessment to review the material presented.

 

 

Upon completion of this workshop attendees will be able to:

  • Identify and describe S.M.A.R.T. goals
  • Prioritize goals they create for the workplace as well as at home
  • Increase motivation levels on a day-to-day basis
  • Describe the steps of problem solving and implement the steps in their lives
  • Create a professional and personal productivity journal to track and organized daily to-dos
  • Determine what causes procrastination and eliminate the distraction in order to complete necessary tasks in a feasible and realistic timeframe
  • Physically move furniture and items around a room (such as an office) in order to organize, create space, find items, and create a space to foster motivation to work and be productive
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and/or household members in order to express needs to create success in the workplace and in personal settings
